This is very interesting and helpful, particularly the list of books and films. Was this list compiled by teachers? Does it have any formal status, and could it be disseminated, even as an exemplar?

Deletethe Alevel suggestions are from the report by the A level Content Advisory Board (ALCAB) which is not binding and has no formal status (yet). ALCAB consists mainly of professors as the DfE wanted the new Alevels to prepare students better for university.
