Tile Hill Wood celebrates 50 years of French at Warwick University
As part of the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of Warwick University girls from Years 8 and 9 attended a celebration event in the French Studies Department at the Warwick Campus. The girls showed examples of the work which they had completed relating to special events which have happened in France and French speaking countries in the last 50 years. As the only school from Coventry to attend the event they presented their projects to a group of students and staff from across Warwickshire and beyond. The girls were presented with certificates and were congratulated on the high standard of their contribution which related to topics such as Paris Fashion Week, Euro -Disney, the Pont des Arts, Le Coupe du Monde 1998, and the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine.

Visitors from Dresden
We had over 30 visitors from the Waldorfschule in Dresden today who stopped by on a trip to England. We spent some time getting to know each other, playing a quiz and hope to meet up again! Dankeschön für unsere Geschenke!

A2 German Day
We held our third national A2 German Day at Tile Hill Wood featuring the University of Leeds' exhibition of "Germany's Confrontation with the Holocaust in a Global Context". Professor Stuart Taberner led students and staff through the exhibition which was a perfect preparation for later workshops on "Der Vorleser" and German Reunification.
