First impressions of today's Christmas Language Club - We did some Japanese origami, ate German Plätzchen, French papillotes and ate Las doce uvas de la suerte ("12 grapes for luck") while watching the Spanish New Year tolled in from the Puerta del Sol tower clock!

Frohe Weihnachten!

We took 43 Year 8 and 9 students to the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham to enjoy the delights of Bratwurst, Stollen, Christbaumkugeln and chocolate Berliner.

Our Year 9s skyped today (during their lunchtime!) with a Year 6 class from Nuestra Señora de Belén, Murcia, España. Both classes had prepared group presentations about where they live and their traditions/cuisine.

A massive well done to all of our 23 Language Champions who managed to score over 500 points in the 2011 Language Perfect World Championship! It's thanks to their hard work that we came 4th in the world in our category (1-50 students) beating all other UK schools!
